Dr. Amy Peters Wood has degrees in art, zoology and Veterinary Medicine from the University of Massachusetts and Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She has studied art at Decordova Museum school, Rhode Island School of Design and Maine College of Art. Her paintings have been exhibited worldwide and are held by universities, corporate and private collectors. Her writing was shaped by Mitlon Academy, Mills College in Oakland California and a special cell physiology teaching assistant at Umass Amherst. She has written articles for numerous magazines and periodicals. Residing in Georgetown Maine with her husband Philip Shelton, Wood divides her time between Veterinary Medicine, art, farming and writing.
